Why list my high school? Because Benson Tech is unique. During their first two years, Benson students take rigorous academic and professional / technical courses which prepare them to choose a major area of study at the end of their sophomore year. As juniors and seniors, students spend between two and four periods each day working in their major area. When they graduate from high school, students are prepared to enter the workforce or to continue their education. Admission to Benson is by application. Students must write an essay on why they want to attend the school, have two recommendations from previous teachers, average or above average grades and attendance.
