Photo Gallery - Wailele and Nohona Isles |
Wailele Isle : Wailele was the first of the islands in this project. It was to be roughly 75% residential lots to be sold with pre-built custom homes, and the remaining area to be a resort with some rental bungalos. The island is zoned as a tropical paradise, themed to look like Tahiti or other islands in French Polynesia. The photo above shows three of the larger 'Estate' homes on the Southern shore, and an observation station up on the ridge. The NorthWest lagoon features a resort with a waterfall and water park. Six rental bungalos, in two sizes, are spaced around the lagoon. The waters off shore teem with fish, and divers can even seek an ancient shipwreck, and search for treasure.
Wailele Water Park is a featured attraction here. The park has a hot springs pool at the top of the falls, two water slides, and a large pool for swimming. The shelter on the left of the pool is a small merchant area, selling items to make Island relaxation more fun. The SE shore of Wailele has several large estates, as well as smaller homes, and a public shade pavilion with a fire ring.
The East shore has several smaller bungalo homes, and a lagoon on the NE Shore with another large estate. Nohona Isle : Looking to the East, we come to the second island, Nohona. The island features a scenic ancient volcano, and caves that can be explored.
The caldera of the mountain encloses a large lake, which is a popular swimming location. A scenic waterfall cascades from the lake to the lagoon below. Within these mountains are the romantic Nohona Caverns, an intricate maze of passages and chambers, and a favorite retreat for lovers. On the shores of the lagoon, the Nohona Apartments provide economical island living, for those who can not afford or do not wish to purchase land on the island. As on Wailele, pre-built tropical-theme homes and bungalos dot the island, and most have direct shoreline access. This is a view from inside a bungalo on the Nohona Lagoon, showing the stunning view of the mountain and waterfall. Virtually every home on either island offers beautiful and restful surroundings, carefully landscaped.
